Gather Around the Coffee Pot
How is everyone doing?
It's been a crazy few months here, with loads of stuff going on. We've made it through Mother's Day (I hope all moms of all stripes had a good time!) and we're moving swiftly through May.
We've nearly survived another Spring. Summer is right around the corner.
With the coming of the hottest season of the year, I figured it was about time for another little check-in with my World-Weary folks.
The world's crazy right now, and it's only natural to be feeling overwhelmed and stressed with everything that's going on and what the future might hold. There's a reason I so badly needed that vacation I just went on, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
I can't make everyone's problems disappear or send you all on a trip of your own, although I wish I could.
But I can offer a reminder: This is a community. The comments are open if anyone would like to talk. Share stories, share struggles, and offer one another encouragement if you can. This space is always open for it.
It's also open to suggestions for future editions of the Missive, or Unfiltered if you're feeling spicy. If my readers have something they'd like me to talk about, feel free to put it in the suggestion. I'll do my best to deliver if I'm able.
Even for those of you who don't want to jump into the conversation and just want to read in peace, that's fine. There's no pressure. You're welcome here, and you are not alone in wishing the world wasn't quite as exhausting as it currently is.
Take this time to put your feet up and enjoy your tea, coffee, or a glass of lemonade. Enjoy your favorite treat and settle in with your favorite music.
Don't forget to make some time for yourself today.
Solidarity wins.
